Sword Skills changed in patch 1.0.5

WeaponAffected skillsOfficial direction
SwordHorizontal SquareFaster motion and shorter total duration.
DaggerSingle Shoot, Kaynine, Rapid Bite, Fad Edge, Spiral Riser, Strike Rain, Hornet SwarmFive skills became faster; Strike Rain and Hornet Swarm were reduced, with additional SP and cooldown changes to Strike Rain.
Two-Handed AxeRoaring Jolt, Whirlwind, Fierce Shock, Chain Angler, Volcano, Rockfang, GravityLower early SP costs or faster motion for several skills; Gravity gained ATK correction.
MaceRiot Smash, Double Cleave, Tri-Horn Medley, Spiritfall, Clashbang, Absorbing StrikeSeveral motions became faster; Absorbing Strike received lower ATK correction and cooldown.
Two-Handed SwordCascade, Piercing Blast, Backlash, Blade Torrent, Brave Leep, Cyclone, Vertical BusterLower early SP costs or faster motion; Cyclone gained damage and ATK correction.

The official notes do not publish every final number. Open the current skill panel and record the installed value in the planner rather than copying a pre-1.0.5 SP cost or multiplier. The full change summary is on the patch notes page.

What each entry includes

Each entry pairs a Sword Skill name with its weapon family from Steam demo build 23442858. Assign a skill to a combat job, then record the SP cost and a short timing or effect note after checking the current in-game menu and a repeatable fight.

Damage multipliers, stat scaling, unlock proficiency and animation timing are not present in the current table, so this page does not turn incomplete numbers into a tier list.

Build a useful three-role loadout

Slot jobWhat to verify in gameWhy it matters
Fast openerStartup, reach and SP costGives the build a safe answer in short openings.
ControlStagger, area coverage or repositioningSolves groups or creates space for the partner.
PunishDamage and animation commitmentConverts a parry, break or boss recovery into value.

Need help equipping a skill?

This page answers “which Sword Skill names exist for my weapon?” The Sword Skills usage guide covers Weapon EXP, equipping three skills, SP management and the common reasons an unlocked skill may still feel unavailable.

Sword Skill planner FAQ

Can I share a saved loadout?

Yes. Copy build link puts the selected opener, control and punish IDs in the URL. Your observed SP values and private timing notes are intentionally excluded and remain in this browser.

What happens to an older three-skill shortlist?

The planner migrates the first saved skill to Opener, the second to Control and the third to Punish. You can then move or replace each assignment without starting over.

Why are damage values not shown?

The current asset index confirms names and weapon relationships, not a reliable release-build balance table. Use the local observation fields for the values displayed by your installed version.

Version boundary: this is a demo-build asset index, not a complete release-build balance table. Skill names may remain stable while costs, effects or unlock conditions change in patches.
